Daily Fantasy Golf Cheat Sheet: WGC Fed-Ex St. Jude Invitational Sleeper Picks, Low End Values, British Open Recap

Hopefully there’s not a person on this earth that’s upset Shane Lowry won The Open Championship. The conditions as the final group made the turn were no joke, and with the heavy stuff coming down Lowry just stayed the course and played incredible golf. Can we please get an anonymous 10 handicapper to tee off for every major event just to see what they come in with? No chance they’re breaking 100 at Portrush (or anywhere).

This week the tour heads from the cool shores of Ireland to almost the exact opposite in Memphis. Temps will be hot and humid, and the ball will fly far. However, TPC Southwind isn’t particularly long, and it will be tough. There’s a ton of water out there, so be wary of guys who bomb-and-gouge. This week we’re going to put a premium on ball striking, so without further interruption here are our four favorite Daily Fantasy picks from $7,000 or below.

Jim Furyk $7,000

Coming off 5 consecutive made cuts, look for Furyk to keep it rolling this week in Tennessee. He’s losing distance off the tee, but his accuracy is top-notch. He hit’s 3 for 4 fairways and couples it with an 11th in SG: Approach. He’s 48th in the Fed-Ex cup and shows no signs of slowing down.

Keegan Bradley $6,900

Currently ranked 10th in SG: Ball Striking, Keegan should be a solid play this weekend. He gains almost an entire stroke on approach but struggles with the putter. If he can figure out how to roll the rock, he can be dangerous in any short course event.

Keith Mitchell $6,500

Killa Keith hasn’t done anything particularly special since his win earlier this season, but he’s still out there grinding. He’s been pretty terrible on approaches and around the green, but he finds the fairway a ton. Sitting at 6th in SG: Off The Tee, if Keith can hit some greens he should be able to put up a decent finish in Memphis.

Corey Conners $6,300

If Corey Conners could putt he’d finish Top-10 in every tournament. The guy is an absolute legend of a ball-striker. He ranks top 12 in SG: Off the tee, approach, and total. Any elite putters out there, hit up Corey Conners on Twitter and offer him a lesson.
