But Streb kept his cool and finished the first round with a 1-under par 69. Streb followed the 69 with three more rounds in the 60’s, capped off with a final round 63. But he was not the only player playing well and finishing atop the leader board at 14-under par. Three players entered a playoff at the Seaside Course, Brendon de Jonge, Will MacKenzie, and Robert Streb. Streb and de Jone made par to continue the playoff. MacKenzie’s bogey on the first playoff hole eliminated him. On the par-3 17th Robert Streb carded a birdie two to claim the victory by hitting a fabulous 8-iron to four feet. The spoils of his first PGA Tour victory include the winner’s share of $1,0008,000 and 500 FedEx Cup points. Even more valuable for Streb is the now pending invitation to the Masters Tournament, as well at the Tournament of Champions. LPGA Tour Blue Bay LPGA Jian Lake Blue Bay Golf Course Hainan Island, China The three-round Blue Bay LPGA is one of the last few events on the 2014 LPGA Tour’s season. South African golfer Lee-Anne Pace came into the Blue Bay LPGA on a high note. The previous week she had won her ninth career Ladies European Tour (LET) event. With three rounds of 67 or better, she claimed victory at the Blue Bay LPGA by three shots over 2nd place finisher Caroline Masson and two 3rd place finishers Michelle Wie and Jessica Korda. Though not necessary, Pace rolled in a 6-foot birdie putt on the par-5 18th hole to finish in style.
