PGA Results: 2012 CIMB Classic

by Jeremiah Bohannon on Oct 28, 2012
PGA Tour - CIMB Classic At Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at The MINES Resort and Golf Club Nick Watney found himself in an odd position.  He was having a brilliant round, two groups ahead of Tiger Woods, making birdie after birdie.  By the time he reached the 18th hole, he was looking at the possibility of shooting the magical 59 if he carded a birdie on the hole. Winning was more important for Watney in this $6.1 million event.  So he ditched the aggressive play and went for safety, making a bogey on the final hole instead.  The bogey was good enough to secure a win over Robert Garragus and Bo Van Pelt by one shot, and two shots over Tiger Woods.
"I saw Tiger got off to a good start, so I wasn't really thinking about winning when I teed off.  But the round sort of built momentum and things just kept getting better and better. I'm thrilled to have come away with the win."
Web.com Tour - Tour Championship The biggest tournament of the year for the Web.com Tour took place at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas this past weekend.  Up for grabs for the field of 60 players was 25 tickets to golf's ultimate proving ground, the PGA Tour. Justin Bolli took home the two shot win and more importantly a Tour card for 2013.  The rest of "The 25" is listed below.  These are the players who are graduating from the Web.com tour to the big stage.
