Inspiring Veterans With Disabilities Through Golf

Learning and playing the game of golf is an activity that has positively impacted thousands of wounded Veterans nationwide, and PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is a nationwide program that is truly making a difference in so many lives. The flagship military program of PGA REACH, the charitable Foundation for the PGA of America, PGA HOPE introduces golf – at no cost – to Veterans with disabilities in order to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being. The HOPE program, led by PGA Professionals, helps Veterans assimilate back into their communities through the social interaction the game of golf provides. Being on the golf course or a range, with fellow military Veterans offers “a moment in time,” where Veterans aren’t thinking about their injuries or PTSD, but, are focused on hitting a golf ball down the fairway or into the hole.
