Golf Tips: Keep Feet Together
Here's a tip which can help with a few aspects of the swing. Swing with your feet together.
Setup
Hit practice shots with your feet touching, and your knees touching or as close together as possible. You can use any club in the bag to swing and hit balls with this way, except perhaps the putter. The longer the club, the more difficult the drill will be.
Swinging with your feet together promotes the following:
1. Proper balance in back swing and swing finish
2. Turning around the spine and coiling properly
3. Proper rhythm
4. Proper takeaway and release of club
Swing faults this drill helps to fix:
1. Swaying or moving of weight too much back, or forward in the swing (big one for me)
2. Poor balance
3. Poor tempo
4. Over swinging
5. Improper club release
