Golf Tips: Controlling Chip Distance

I'm very excited about today's golf tip from our resident Frogger PGA pro Kris Moe.  I want to run out  and try some of these techniques as soon as possible, as one of the toughest parts of my own game is controlling chip distance. In the video below Kris talks about a few different areas of focus in the swing the golfer can use to control distance and direction.  Of course, the length of the backswing is directly related to the length of the shot.  The speed of the swing is also directly related.  Another one might not have considered, is the amount of wrist-cock the player uses. http://youtu.be/gQDxWPar5UM For direction and ensuring the player comes through on the proper aim and target line, the player will aim the club head at the bottom of the flagstick.  If the chip is not straight to the hole, the player would then pick a target landing spot and aim the club head at that spot. These are fantastic chips which, if you are like me, can help a person who struggles with chipping distance.
