Golf Games: Splashie

Splashdown!  Your ball has just gone in the drink.  But not all is lost and there's a chance for glory, because you're playing the golf game "Splashie."  In Splashie, sometimes known as "Fishies," there is a reward for making a great recovery from water, for par or better. Bet Ahead of time the competitors agree on a Splashie amount, say $1.00.  For each Splashie a player records, the other competitors would have to pay the bet amount ($1.00) to the "Splasher." Splashie Getting a Splashie is simple, but not necessarily easy.  If a player's ball enters water and stays submerged and that player is able to make a par somehow, a Splashie is won.  This does not apply if the ball lies in a hazard, but is not "in" water. At the end of the round all Splashies are paid and collected. Gross or Net In the event that the players in the group are higher handicaps, the game can be played "net" instead of "gross."  For instance an 18-handicap player would receive one handicap stroke per hole.  Should that player make a bogey after splashing down, the net par score would win a Splashie.
