Golf Games: Air Press
When playing a money game against an opponent, one often has to "press" the bet if he is down on the original bet or feels he needs to make up ground. A press is essentially a new bet in the amount of the original bet. That press starts on that hole and proceeds the rest of the nine or round. Presses can be accepted or declined in normal play.
Air Press
To make things more interesting and dynamic, the Air Press can be initiated at the beginning of the round. A predetermined bet amount is set, say $1.00, and players make call a press while their opponent's ball is in the air. The opponent automatically accepts the press.
For instance, two players are on the 2nd hole. The hole is a par-3 over water. Player one hits the green in regulation. Player two's ball is not hit well and while in the air looks to find the water. Player one calls a press while the ball is still airborne and it is automatically accepted.
This game can be fun and can add pressure and intensity to every shot.
