PGA Junior League Golf

PGA Junior League Golf is a fun, social and inclusive opportunity for boys and girls ages 13 and under to learn and play the game of golf, under the guidance of PGA and LPGA Professionals. The kids wear numbered jerseys (similar to youth baseball or soccer) and play on teams with their friends, as they compete in a popular scramble format that reinforces the team concept and creates a nurturing environment for learning the game.

PGA Junior League Golf is one of PGA of America’s most dynamic player development programs, as more than 36,000 kids competing on more than 2,700 teams across 47 states have participated in 2016. As the program continues to gain popularity golfers of all backgrounds have the opportunity to participate, as teams represent public courses, municipal courses, private clubs and First Tee chapters.

Following the regular season, 10-player All-Star teams were assembled based on their performance, and competed in a series of sub-regional competitions in their areas, with the winners earning a spot at the eight regional competitions. The eight regional Champions have advanced to compete in the 2016 PGA Junior League Golf National Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, Nov. 19-21.

Superstars Rory McIlroy, Michelle Wie, Rickie Fowler and Lexi Thompson are Official Ambassadors for PGA Junior League Golf.
