This week’s biggest headliner Rory McIlory is hosting the Irish Open at Royal County Down in Newcastle, Northern Ireland. Tour players will not know this course well, as the last time it hosted the event was in 1939.

The event’s charity recipient is the Rory Foundation, created in 2013 to help children’s charities around the globe.

Mikko Ilonen is the defending champion this week, having held off Edoardo Molinari by one shot last year.

The PGA Tour is in Texas this week at the TPC Four Seasons for the Byron Nelson. The Byron Nelson is one of the best tournaments all year because it is responsible for the biggest charitable donations of any event, now exceeding $130 million.

The defending champion this week is Brendan Todd. Todd edged Mike Weir by two shots last year to record his first PGA Tour win.
