Yesterday I posed the question, "will Rory continue to smash more (U.S.) Open records?"  We have an answer: YES.

Today's 3rd round I thought perhaps McIlroy might come back to the field a bit but he did exactly the opposite.  A round of -3 68 extended his lead from six shots to eight shots over Y.E. Yang and the rest of the field at the U.S. Open.

Going into Sunday, McIlroy has a massive eight shot lead.  Haven't looked that one up, but it could be yet another U.S. Open record.  The tournament is Rory's to win. Of course everyone wonders if he can hold on, based on the Sunday meltdown at this year's Masters when McIlroy shot an 80 in the final round.

I think this time Rory will pull it off.  Yes, I'm quite the big risk taker.  Can't wait to watch tomorrow's final round coverage.
