This week brings us the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow in Charlotte, NC.  This tournament brings a strong field to the table, including Phil Mickelson, returning champion Rory McIlroy, Sergio Garcia, Jim Furyk, Camilo Villegas and big hitting Gary Woodland.

Thursday and Friday's coverage should be a blast to watch, pun intended.  The featured group includes Phil Mickelson, Nick Watney and the previously mentioned big hitting Gary Woodland.

Arnie in the house

Arnold Palmer is on the grounds and even played in yesterday's pro-am tournament.  He's there supporting his nephew Sam Saunders.

Course

Quail Hollow in Charlotte NC was host to the PGA Tour's Kemper open for 10 years and a Senior PGA Tour event as well.

The course was originally designed by George Cobb n 1961 but has undergone redesigns by Arnold Palmer and Tom Fazio.

The course always has spectacular greens and its trademark hills and contours challenge even the best players in the world.
