Welcome to the first Friday during the official launch week of Frogger Blogger. If you're like this frog right now, you're having a hard time thinking about work or concentrating on the task at hand. You're thinking about sneaking out of the office and starting the weekend early with a quick round of golf this afternoon.
Some corporate environments have "casual Friday" where they allow their employees wear casual clothes, or Levis instead of dress pants. Some companies have a cocktail hour at the end of the day on Friday to reward their people for a long week of hard work. Here at Frogger Blogger we will be posting our version of casual Friday. After all, we are about making golf fun in any and every way possible. So our posts on Fridays will have one goal in mind, sharing and coming up with new ways of making golf fun, or more fun for those of you who are already on the right path. By all means, if you have suggestions or your own ways you make golf fun, comment in here and let us know!
Us Golf As An Escape From Life's Pressures
Below is one of my favorite quotes. If you play professional golf for a living this quote could be awful confusing, but for those of us who don't play golf for a living check it out:
A bad day on the golf course is better than a good day at work.
One of the best ways to make golf fun which comes to my frog brain, is to use golf as an escape. Sometimes when things are rough on the home lily pad or at the office, I do well by forgetting all of that and concentrating on one simple and challenging task: getting that dumb little white ball into a hole in the ground.
Use golf to escape from the pressures of work and personal life. Rather than bringing your personal or business frustrations with you during your round on the links, leave them in the trunk of your car in the parking lot at the golf course. Mentally throw them in the trunk and slam the lid shut before they can get out.
After all, those pressures can tend to make your golf game worse anyway. What's the point of playing if if you're going to let that happen?
